'World leaders and celebrities write advice to my son'

Charlie Fletcher, aged 6, has all the advice he needs to succeed in life. That's because his father, a British diplomat, has been collecting wisdom from the great and the famous to give to him.

So far Tom Fletcher, the British Ambassador to Lebanon, has collected passages from Barack Obama, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Gordon Brown, JK Rowling and David Beckham.

He decided to start compiling the notebook - which will eventually be published for charity - after his job caused him to spend too much time away from home.

Tom told BBC Radio 5 live's Drive: "I was very lucky in my job working for different Prime Ministers... so I wanted something that would really help me remember that time in my life but also would be useful to him."
