The former UK ambassador to Lebanon says that Donald Trump would have kicked Muhammad Ali out of the US and his election would be ‘America’s resignation note as a world power.’ 

Talking to LBC’s Stig Abel Tom Fletcher expressed serious concerns about the rhetoric from the republican candidate.

I'm really worried to be honest. I'm worried not just about what happens if he's president but what happens while he's a candidate.

He said that Trump's rhetoric makes working as a diplomat in the Middle East extremely dangerous as it fuels division.

"It's very very dangerous. I'm very very worried about what's going on in America and I hope Donald Trump isn't America's resignation letter as a world power.”
